BMW Australia has opened registrations for the 2012 BMW TS Safari through the event’s website www.bmwsafari.com.
The week-long riding event will see riders starting off from Australia’s ceremonial home of motorsport, Mt Panorama in Bathurst on Sunday 13th May. From there, riders will cover some of the best riding roads in NSW before arriving on the Sunshine Coast in southern QLD on Friday 18th May. Open exclusively to riders of BMW Motorcycles, the event caters to riders who like to tour the open roads and also those with more of a sporting bent.
To register for the event go to www.bmwsafari.com to complete the online registration form. Pillion riders are most definitely welcomed on the TS Safari so you could make this a fantastic week away with your partner. Cost of registration is $550 per rider or $1,050 for rider and pillion. Included in the entry fee is welcome and farewell functions (the farewell function is a serious shindig!), BMW Safari technical support including BMW Safari Tyre support service, daily route sheets (plus marked route), TS Safari T shirt and evening briefings for the upcoming days ride.
Accommodation bookings will be released at the end of February and riders will have the choice of quality levels between 3 and 5 star, depending on your tastes and budget.
Once registered on the BMW Safari site regular emails will be sent to riders giving you all the info you need to make your Safari an enjoyable one. Like the BMW Safari Facebook page and you’ll join the community of Safari riders and get regular feeds of communication with the event organisers.
BMW General Manager Tony Sesto is looking forward to his first TS Safari experience, “After meeting a great bunch of customers on last years GS Safari event I am really looking forward to the TS Safari in May, it’s a great opportunity to get out on the bikes and do some great riding with so many of our customers”.
