Premium Comfort, Rugged Design
Crafted on the Mercedes Sprinter AWD 419 MWB, the stylish Blue Grey Explorer LX is as visually striking as it is functional. With the premium specification from Mercedes, and the highest campervan specification on the market, it still only requires a standard driver’s licence.
The campervan’s standard luxurious leather upholstery adds a touch of class. New black fixtures and finishes, and lighting add a sophisticated edge. Perfectly blending luxury with durability, the Explorer LX meets Avida’s high standards for quality and resilience, ensuring comfort both on and off the grid.
Optimized for the Outback Experience
Designed for days of extended off-grid travel, the Explorer LX 4×4 is a true powerhouse of capability and independence:
- Enhanced Solar & Battery Off-Grid Power: To keep you powered in the most remote locations, the Explorer LX includes 400W MPPT roof-mounted solar, with an option of an additional 400W of solar blankets, totalling up to 800W solar power for those who need it. Its advanced Victron electrical system includes an integrated 3,000VA MultiPlus inverter charger with 400amp lithium batteries as standard. If that’s not enough, an option of an additional 200amp is available, taking the total lithium power up to 600amps.
- Optimum Cooking & Climate Control: Equipped with a portable induction cooktop for both indoor and outdoor cooking. With no Gas on board, the Explorer LX features a diesel Combination Hot Water System and air heater. The rooftop air conditioning can be used off-grid, and with Avida’s full insulation, it ensures the warmth and convenience of off-grid living, all year round.
- Functional & Flexible Design
Function meets comfort in the all new Explorer LX Adventure van, as the fully contained bathroom not only has a window, but it also doubles as a drying room, for when you end up with any wet adventure gear.
The kitchen is ready for any culinary need, with a larger benchtop, fold-up bench extension, sink, fridge freezer and just lots of storage.
The bed lifts up and with tie-down points in the rear and storage pockets throughout, make it ideal for securing all that adventure gear.
On the outside, it comes standard with a 50” LED driving light bar, rear working lights, full roof rack, rear ladder, rear spare wheel carrier, and custom full length side protection steps. All the specifications just reinforce the Explorer LX’s capability to tackle rugged environments.
Adventure-Ready Water
With 170L of fresh water across two tanks, The Explorer gives you the ability to manage the water the way you want to. You may want to keep good drinking water in one tank and not so good water in the other. Enabling you to stay off-grid for longer. Not only does the Explorer LX have more fresh water than its competitors. But it also has 100L of grey water. So, the Explorer LX is ready for those extended stays in remote locations.
Options for Personalisation
For additional customisation, optional items such as:
