The next stage in the Project Pajero story is a 18 day trip in late June. The itinerary includes travelling along the Murray River, up through the Oodnadatta track and the Flinders Ranges, Wilpena Pound, branching off at Marree towards Birdsville along the Birdsville Track. After exploring the delights of Birdsville and Big Red we will head off down towards Cameron Corner and on towards Broken Hill.
Along the way we will be testing a number of products, relaxing and generally testing the theory that a 10 year old Pajero can still make an outstanding outback tourer.
This is an opportunity to check over the aftermarket accessories already fitted to see if they are still up for the job and maybe test some of the latest gear.
Mitsubishi has supplied us with a Challenger 4wd as a support vehicle for the trip and we will be towing a couple of camper trailers for review as well.
Stay tuned over the next few weeks as we plan and prepare for our sojourn to the beautiful Flinders Ranges and the Iconic town of Birdsville.
We need to update our communications, a new EPIRB, GPS, hopefully install a hot water system and generally get ready for old persons camping..
