In addition to its striking appearance, the QX30 offers as standard the Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system. As a result, the QX30 is ideal to take on urban, suburban and winding rural roads in all driving conditions.
“The all-new QX30 is an important and exciting addition to Infiniti’s Australian model range, increasing Infiniti’s reach to a broader range of customers,” said Jean-Philippe Roux, Managing Director of Infiniti Cars Australia. “The QX30 mixes standout styling, agile performance and a level of refinement often found in more expensive luxury vehicles.”
The all-new Infiniti QX30 is now available in Australia in two model grades, GT and Premium, powered by a 155kW 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine matched to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Intelligent All-Wheel Drive.
“The category defying design of the QX30 stays true to the inspiration behind the daring QX30 Concept,” said Infiniti Executive Design Director Alfonso Albaisa. “Its mix of artistry in the flowing lines, and power in the elevated stance and confident look, makes a bold visual statement and challenges current preconceptions of what a crossover should look like.”
The combination of a low-slung roofline, high stance and crossover appearance creates a striking visual impact. The QX30 exterior is characterised by dramatic curves and turbulent, sculpted character lines that make an emotional statement.
The elevated dimensions make for a confident and relaxing drive, while ascribing to the QX30’s versatile character. The tall overall height helps improve forward visibility, aided by a slim A-pillar design, while the taller ride height allows for a higher hip point, improving ease of ingress and egress.
Standard exterior features include signature LED daytime running lights and auto on/off LED headlights, with Active Front lighting System (AFS) and auto high/low beam function and LED fog lights.
A panoramic fixed-glass moonroof with power sunshade and roof rails are also offered on the top-grade QX30 Premium The QX30 also includes unique front and rear lower fascias, extended overfenders, unique black mold-in color side sills, roof rails, unique 18-inch aluminium-alloy wheels and an overall height that is 35mm taller than the two-wheel-drive Q30 GT. The QX30 is offered in a choice of nine exterior colors:
The bold Infiniti design approach continues inside the stunning QX30, challenging traditional standards of symmetry with its expressive, modern and dynamic interior.
The asymmetric surfaces feature wave shapes and dynamic lines that twist apart and flow away from the driver. These give an “in-motion” feel when natural light moves over the highly sculpted lines and contrasting materials in the cabin.
“QX30’s asymmetric interior design results in an environment focused on the driver, yet encompassing passengers in such a way as to involve and cater for them, more so than the traditionally isolating designs found in the premium segment,” said Albaisa.
Premium materials and processes were selected by the Infiniti designers in order to create a modern-looking and luxurious cabin. The standard interior is finished in high quality black Fibretec, while the Premium grade’s black or beige nappa leather appointments deliver an even more premium finish. The range-leading Premium grade also has suede-like Dinamica fitted to the car’s interior headlining and genuine wood inserts in the door panels and center console.
Refinement and comfort is also a core appeal of the QX30’s interior. Comfort is guaranteed thanks to an advanced seat design, which makes use of Infiniti’s advanced “spinal support” research and “Zero Gravity” technology.
The seat backs have been carefully engineered to match the curvature of the spine, providing consistent spinal support by more equally distributing load across the seat to minimise pressure on back muscles – while a wider fitting shape and soft seat cushion also provides enhanced support.
The range-leading QX30 Premium features eight-way power adjustable front seats with 4-way power-adjustable lumbar support. The Premium grade also has heated front seats as standard equipment.
