HI LO Caravan 15T Model

One of the more interesting ‘discoveries’ that we made at the recent spate of caravan and camping shows was the all-new telescoping 15T model Hi-LO caravan.

Hi-Lo Caravans are imported from the US with the LPG & electrics finished in Australia by I&D industries, using locally supplied appliances and fittings which gives you piece of mind, flexibility in choice of appliances and 100% Australian compliance, also complete the LPG and electrics.

I & D Industries have been in business for over 26 years. Their team is made up of qualified tradesmen with expertise in creative design, cabinetry, bodybuilding, and gasfitting. Igor Muriti is the owner of I & D Industries – that’s I for Igor and D for Dawn, his wife… Igor started in the industry back in 1975, working for Landcruiser Conversions. Within 12 months Igor become part owner of the business.

In 1987 he decided it was time to move on and left the company in order to establish I & D Industries. The Hi-LO 15T is a rear-entry caravan that will comfortably sleep two to four people, and still offer all the benefits and amenities of much larger caravan.

This negates many of the annoyances of full sized caravans. It is easy to tow, easy to store and easy to lift with a tried and tested hydraulic system that takes all of the hard work and time out of setting up camp. It’s as simple as a press of a button… The lift system is covered by a two-year warranty and is virtually maintenance free.

Hi-Lo caravans are constructed of a laminated sandwich of roof and fibreglass sidewalls, both with backer board, polystyrene foam, tubular aluminium and plywood interior panelling. The laminate construction is strong enough for the roof to hold two adults. Although why you would want to stand on the roof I haven’t quite figured out yet.

Hi-Lo’s travel profile and rubber suspension gives greater stability at all speeds by reducing sway and buffeting caused by large vehicles and cross winds. The low centre of gravity and aerodynamic efficiency improves safety, ease of use, and increases fuel efficiency. (They claim up to 77% savings in fuel).

The Hi lo 15T has many luxury items as standard. However Hilo Caravans can custom fit an array of items to suit each individual traveller. Standard features include;
