Hyundai Palisade Highlander 3.8L V6 2WD SUV 2023 Review

Palisade Highlander 3.8L V6 – Last week I drove the Hyundai Palisade Highlander. The version I had was the 3.8L petrol version. The Highlander comes in both seven and eight seat models.

The Highlander 3.8L V6 petrol engine comes with 217kW of power and 3550Nm of torque. It’s a front wheel drive only model and has a smooth 8 Speed automatic transmission.

It’s a reasonable combination, but I definitely prefer the 2.2L diesel engine and AWD combination.

Palisade is a large family-based SUV that showcases the best features in the Hyundai SUV range.

Its stylish and spacious. Little features such as heated and ventilated front seats, Hyundai BlueLink connectivity, large 12.3 inch driver instrument cluster and same central touch screen. This has excellent resolution and clarity. A clever Hyundai/Kia feature is the indicator camera in the dash dials.

Safety is catered for by the Hyundai smartsense system. There is also a digital reverse mirror, 3D surround camera and a wireless phone charge pad.

For a large SUV the Palisade rides and handles smoothly. Its tight and responds well to driver inputs. With large windows everywhere it has an open feel and good visibility.

Hyundai Palisade Highlander is priced from $75,900 plus the usual costs.
