Nissan’s Legendary 4WD has been updated for 2024, with the Nissan Patrol receiving significant technology upgrades to improve its overall cabin experience, whether on the road or off it.

Nissan Australia has partnered with Australian automotive supplier Directed Technologies to deliver a new 10.1-inch high-definition central touchscreen, which includes wireless Apple CarPlay~ and wireless Android Auto~.

Twin USB ports (A and C) and a new wireless smartphone charging pocket> ensure all devices remain topped up, while the Patrol’s new infotainment system unlocks a host of new functionality, including a new full HD wide angle reversing camera, iGO Street Navigation and a 1-month free subscription to Hema 4×4 Navigation.

Widely regarded as Australia’s most comprehensive off-road mapping service, Hema Maps was launched in 1983 with a range of printed land and marine maps.

In 1996, Hema Maps invested in new GPS technology and undertook the largest mapping expedition ever done by a private company in Australia, and since 2007, it has digitally created and updated their maps to allow road users to navigate precisely over any terrain — urban, off-road or rugged and remote —  via its in-built application. All MY24 Patrol customers will receive a 1-month free subscription to the Hema Maps application.

Comfort still comes first in the Patrol, with the addition of the front row centre cool box to the Ti specification, while the option of seven (Ti-L) or eight (Ti) seats ensure there is room for everyone and everything.

Finally, the Patrol’s legendary capability is assured via the Intelligent 4X4 with electronic 4WD selection, a rear Helical limited-slip differential, and Hydraulic Body Motion Control suspension (HBMC), all of which carry over to the 2024 model.

2024 Nissan Patrol models

The 2024 Nissan Patrol continues to be offered in two well-equipped grades, the Ti and Ti-L — as well as the flagship Patrol Warrior by Premcar — and remains powered by Nissans 5.6-litre V8 petrol engine, with 298kW of power and 560Nm of torque, which is paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and Adaptive Shift Control (ASC).

The 2024 Nissan Patrol will remain a favourite among Australia’s towing community, with its 3.5-tonne braked towing capacity= unchanged.

Directed Technologies Executive Director Brent Stafford said, “Directed Technologies is proud to be delivering Nissan the only multimedia device designed in Australia. Our homegrown expertise ensures the new cutting-edge upgrades will respond to rugged Australian conditions that are often driven by Nissan Patrol and Nissan Patrol Warrior owners.”
